Blogs are great ways to get people to look at things from the perspective of the writer, so I hope to pass on some ideas and thoughts, as well as news and facts, through this blog.
Let me tell you about myself first though! I studied law at university for which I got a law degree, and then passed the Diploma in Legal Practice, which was the route to become a solicitor or barrister. I took a different route however, and went into financial services. However, I never left the legal side behind as my financial services ongoing training covered areas such as trusts and probate as well as wills, and I have always been in touch with these issues.
I started my own will writing business in Royston, Herts, and joined the IPW (the Institute of Professional Willwriters). They were the number one organisation for ensuring will writers are giving the best and up to date advice, and protecting consumers by ensuring that every member has up to date training, knowledge and things such as indemnity insurance. This puts IPW members on the same playing field as solicitors, with perhaps the added benefit that our business is purely focussed on wills and will related issues such as probate.
As the only IPW member in Royston, I am hoping to get some great local offers and schemes started, and so I will keep you up to date with those here. For now then, enjoy the rest of your day, and I will be back with more soon!
